    RIP Kenny Debuts “Letting Go”

Intertwined in the sonic collision of metal, punk and dubstep/dance, RIP Kenny aims to be the soundtrack to your adventure. With ear catching guitar riffs, stellar vocal performance and a flowy, neuro-bass focused drop, “Letting Go” marks the first track of the rising artist’s debut LP, Escapism. “Letting Go” is available worldwide now.

“I wrote this song after the worst mountain bike crash of my life — breaking my femur, collar bone (clean in half), 7 ribs and puncturing a lung. Before the crash we were already in a pretty terrible situation financially (post-covid), then basically everything in our life started falling in on top of us. I just had this incredible guilt and pain emotionally, we were struggling and it was largely my fault. I think you can hear the pain & catharsis in the song, trying to sort out the acceptance piece of the whole situation. I was honestly apprehensive to be so personal with it, but writing it there were these moments that were so visceral. Ultimately I think the realness that came out of it both enhanced the story and made for a better record.”  – RIP Kenny

Now at its completion, RIP Kenny reveals he has mulled over the concept of creating this LP since he started writing music. His lyrics and instrumentation demonstrate the purest expression of his musical taste. RIP Kenny is a storyteller and hopes to bring listeners on his journey through a modern bass music package combined with the visual aesthetic of his life in the mountains. This initial offering hooks its audience and begs for consideration in the sense of accepting the turmoil in one’s own life. “Letting Go” turns heads and ears, continuing the forthcoming LP’s quest to touch on deep emotion. Through his authenticity and versatility, RIP Kenny has become one of dance music’s most compelling new voices and is sure to prove himself through his grit.
