Enjoying a startling rise to the top since his debut single in 2019, SAN PACHO has quickly established himself as one to keep an eye on. From releasing on some of the most in-demand imprints in the world, to garnering a huge raft of international radio play for his releases, the DJ and producer is riding a wave of momentum that will only pick up pace thanks to his latest track, ‘Amor’, out now on Matroda’s Terminal Underground label.
‘Amor’ – or “love” in Spanish – is a sultry if swift exploration of Latina vocal samples and undulating flamenco guitars, all wrapped neatly into two and a half minutes, making it an instant playlist power pick. Doused in LATAM flavours but still carrying a firm clubland DNA at its core, SAN PACHO’s clever use of percussion keeps the single’s energy driving forward and should see it dominating dance floors and airwaves as the summer months open up.
“After ‘La Pasion’ ended up being a club and festival smash I wanted to make a follow-up that was similar, yet again ear and eye-catching,” SAN PACHO said. “I sent the ‘Amor’ demo to Matroda and when he premiered it at EDC Las Vegas I knew it was a special one.”
The young Croatian producer is certainly ear-catching in his own right. ‘La Pasion’, his collaboration with Matroda, clocked up more than 1.5 million streams on Spotify and landed a sickening amount of support from industry titans like Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Alesso, Fedde Le Grand, Valentino Khan and more. His remix of the Bee Gee’s classic ‘Stayin’ Alive’ surpassed the 2.5 million views mark on the Blanc YouTube channel and his name is a recurring feature in the likes of Dancing Astronaut, EDM.com, Beatport and of course, yours truly here on Raver Mag. With a repeat appearance on Terminal Underground in addition to signings on Insomniac, UKF, SPACE YACHT and hau5trap, it’s pretty clear this rising talent is only just getting started.
