ACRAZE Flips Tampa Upside Down with 4B

As more time passes, we see more cities embrace the dance scene and bring up the next wave of artists. When it comes to Tampa, one local act stood out to us at the 4B show Friday, November 24th at the Amphitheatre @ The Ritz. Acraze, pronounced Ahhh-craze, is one of the newest local DJ’s in Orlando- who made his debut at the Ritz in Ybor to open up for 4B. His set lived up to everyone’s expectations as he created an atmosphere for good energy and all around fun. With a jam-packed house, he was able to catch the crowd’s attention and have them interact by starting mosh pits, pulling out lighters, and even singing along to the music that he played. The set was a perfect combination of heavy hitting bass music with Jersey Club which is appropriate given that he warmed up the decks for 4B, a fellow New Jersey native.

The main highlight of the entire night was when he dropped his Jersey Club rendition of “Scary Monsters and Nice Spirits” by Skrillex. This is the song that has helped Acraze to climb to the top in his career. One of the most interesting things about Acraze and 4B is that their friendship started over a single tweet. He asked him to let him play at SMF if he got over a certain number of tweets, and well the rest is history. If there is one thing that you can learn about Acraze, is that persistence goes a long way. We can’t wait to see where he will end up in the next couple of years.
