As one half of Swedish duo CAZZETTE, Alexander Björklund has enjoyed more than his fair share of ‘good days’. With music partner Sebastien Furrer, he’s been responsible for huge dance floor hits like ‘Sleepless’, ‘Blind Heart’ and ‘Together’. Alongside the likes of Avicii and Swedish House Mafia, the pair spent the best part of a decade sweeping through clubs, festivals and radio waves, as their electrifying brand of EDM set the world on fire.

Fast forward to present day, and like everyone else, CAZZETTE have been dealing with the global fallout of Covid. In a time when it’s been all too easy to sink into a funk, or to let current events take over and depress, the band have risen with their brand new single ‘A Day To Sing About’. Featuring British singer Xander Rawlins on vocal, the song is, according to Björklund, “a message of strength rising out from the darkest of times… anode to hope and bravery”.”

To celebrate the release of the single, Raver Magazine caught up with Björklund at his home in LA to find out what non-CAZZETTE singles he listens to, to get his day off to a flying start:

Van McCoy – The Hustle

What a way to start the day! Perfect for sorting out your goals for the day and some light admin work

DJ Poolboi – Europe

Continuing with some great lo-fi house to ease into the day

HNNY – Most Really Pretty Girls Have Ugly Feet

Nothing but respect for this fantastic Swedish producer and I often jam out to this one

Qrion – Monolith

Lets dive deep. Shall we? Such a viby track as the day picks up speed

The Knocks & MUNA – Bodies (Tycho Remix)

Maybe open a window and feel the breeze to this one. Perfect for journaling or clean up those dishes you didn’t take care of and is now staring at you

Space 92 – The Game

Time for a workout. Get hype!

Hans Göran – GIRL

Another fantastic house track with some great energy

Billie – Loving Arms

More lo-fi house as it just makes sense this hour of the day

Gillian Hills – Tut Tut Tut Tut

Something about this one just makes me smile. The groovy vocals are everything.

Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm – 23:52

Take a moment to reflect. Where are you and where are you going?
