Sure to send shivers up the spine, Miami artist DEMUR drops their new single, the bass-drenched ‘Keep Me Safe’.

A chill-inducing cut that’s perfectly timed for the Dark Holiday, ‘Keep Me Safe’ follows on from ‘Be With Me’, both tracks paving the way for the upcoming full album release. Glitching, twitching and brimming with static FX, the single sounds like it’s emanating from some underworld lair, a dystopian SOS call that stutters across the filtered layers of brooding production.

With the date still to be set for DEMUR’s album, ‘Keep Me Safe’ gives fans a clear idea of what will be doing up. Drawing from nu-metal to folk for his inspiration, DEMU uses sound as his medium to create a soundscape just like an artist does with colour: I like a certain palette of sounds and moods and I move forward with those musical ‘colors’ to create an interesting canvas that you know was made by me.

DEMUR has been supported by the likes of Joyryde, Buku, 12th Planet, ALRT, Pegboard Nerd, LAXX, and influential YouTube channels including Dubstep N Trap, Cherry Yume and Vital EDM. His single ‘Tell Me Your Secrets’ was licensed to HBO for a Gossip Girl trailer, bringing his sound to millions around the world, which his single ‘Fight No Longer’ has clocked up over 1 million plays on Spotify and YouTube.
