Bonnaroo 2021

By AmberLynn Anderson

Hey everyone, super excited to be going back to the farm and I hope you are too! This year not only marks the 20th celebration but celebrates us all coming together as one. So let’s get down to business, Bonnaroo has of course not only great music to get down to but also a variety of activities such as campground plazas that host celebrity surprises, secret shows and art. Plazas include free WiFi, shade, showers and so much more! There’s tons to do, but how can I forget the Splash-A-Roo, Ferris Wheel, Broo’ers Festival (must be 21,) and Village Market where you can find all your Bonnaroo needs, like hip clothes, jewelry, and so much more there!

Parades and yoga are also offered at Roo alongside the ‘Roo Run’ where they offer you to dress up your bib on Friday and run on Saturday! Oh hey did I mention winners get prizes? Wanting to go to Bonnaroo and afraid of staying sober? Do not fear…Soberoo is here! Soberoo is a group of music loving, clean and sober passionate people who want to make sure you have the best experience possible. They are not affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, or any other 12-Step programs but still passes no judgement. With daily meetings, feel free to participate and even camp with the group as well. Soberoo is there to offer support and be with others who want to have good, clean fun!

Okay, okay I’ve been stalling, now for the moment of truth: THAT LINEUP!! Thursday should be for feeling it out (if you’ve never been before) and taking it all in slowly. I’m sure you’ve all seen that the Grand Ole Opry will be headlining that day but have you noticed Leslie Jordan’s Instagram lately? He even opened up for the Grand Ole Opry at one point. Big Something is a fun jam band and Dabin is EDM, and I can’t wait for his performance! Mize and Zia are also fun EDM artists that I can’t wait to check out.

Friday is for the boys with Foo Fighters headlining alongside Megan Thee Stallion, Run The Jewels, Glass Animals, Deftones, Tipper, and Young Thug. Grace Potter and Nelly will be there and I can’t begin to tell you how long I’ve been waiting to see his bandaid! Primus and Troyboi will be there and I’ve seen Troyboi and met him before and I can’t wait to see him again! I don’t know if a lot of you have heard of Svdden Death but he absolutely kills it, it’s like metal mixed with hardcore EDM and I love it! Lucii and Mija will be there as well and I’ve seen Mija play before, she absolutely murders the dance floor!

Saturday is for the girls! With Lizzo, Tame Impala, G-Eazy, Incubus, and Seven Lions headlining the festival, what could go wrong? Kevin Gates, Marc Rebillet, Subtronics will also be there and I can’t wait to have an ice cold beer and relax while listening to all of them! Okay so my idol is also going to be there and her name is Ashnikko! If you haven’t heard the spicy, young hardcore lyrics of hers. I suggest you go check her out, she’s all about flipping the roles and dismantling the patriarchal system. Seriously, go listen to her!

Sunday is for everyone! Tyler, The Creator, Lana Del Rey, Deadmau5, Lil Baby, Leon Bridges are headlining and so much more! Flogging Molly, Boombox Cartel, and Oliver Tree will also be there and man I am so excited to see them, Flogging Molly is definitely not something I normally listen to or attend but I just can not wait! Lsdream is one of my favorites as well! So pack your bags and meet me on the farm! I can’t wait to see all of your bright and shining faces there. Although tickets are sold out, there is a ticket exchange on the website, so yes, there is still hope for you to go! See ya there!
