What We’re Looking Forward To At Spring Awakenings Festival 2018
WRITTEN BY WES CUNNINGHAM
Things are heating up for 2018, and I’m not just talking about the weather. Spring Awakening is kicking off on June 8-10th in Addams-Medill Park located in the heart of Chicago, IL. I’ve never been to Chicago or Spring Awakening Music Festival, so I was super excited when the phase 1 of the lineups was announced.
There are so many artists that I’m looking forward to seeing live, like Alison Wonderland, Kaskade, Seven Lions, and Porter Roberson’s new alias Virtual Self. SAMF will have three stages, blasting your favorite DJs throughout the three day festival. Each day the festival will open its gates to the public at 1:00pm and wrap up around 10:00pm giving each day enough time to get your beauty sleep, rehydrate, and repeat. This is an 18+ festival, with the VIP section being 21+. Be sure to Uber or Lyft because the parking availability is extremely limited, and if you try to park in the neighborhood for the festival you’ll end up being ticked and towed……yikes, I’d hate for my weekend to end or start like that.
SAMF will have lockers to rent and rides to help bring that full festival feel. They’ll have plenty of food and vendors to get your merch fix and your belly full while you’re dancing the night away…..at least til’ 10 o’clock haha. SAMF will have three stages dropping the beats throughout the night like the Solstice stage hosting Kaskade and Hardwell, and the Equinox stage hosting 3lau, Alison Wonderland, and the Branded Stages having Nicky Romero and Cash Cash. I am super stoked to get to experience all that this festival and Chicago has to offer.]]>
