Riding a wave of international hype off the back of ‘Dhunga’, and an electrifying surprise performance on the DoLab stage during Coachella Weekend 2, Miami-based British artist TroyBoi now continues his prolific run of 2024 form with the announcement of his brand new single ‘HÍBRIDO’.
The second single to be taken from Troy’s upcoming ‘4 ON THE FLOOR’ EP, which is set for worldwide release in June of this year, ‘HÍBRIDO’ sees the London-born artist flex his diverse production credentials yet again, as he delivers a mesmerising lo-fi house cut that engages from the off. Suited to both festival main stages and trippy, after-hours moments alike, shuffling drum patterns, expertly manipulated vocal samples and wistful sythns shine front and centre as Troy take us on a dreamy ride that showcases the silkier side of his sonic repertoire.
Speaking about the new single, Troy said:
“I love to combine different genres together into my work. After completing the song, I listened to it and realised I fused elements of Baile Funk, House, UK Garage, RnB and Funk all together. It truly sounded like a hybrid track and that’s how I came up with the name ‘Híbrido’.”
