Increasingly known for his light touch and pop-funk sensibilities, Canadian producer Sparkee is back with catchy new single ‘Breathe’, a co-production with rising star Sierra.
Clearly inspired by the likes of Nile Rodgers and The Weeknd, ‘Breathe’ carries a similar kind of freshness to the production, one that could quite easily translate to radio waves and playlists around the world. With funk-fuelled basslines and cleverly arranged synths and guitars, the track is bubble-gum pop-electronica done to perfection.
Providing vocals and co-producing the single was a no-brainer for Sierra, who says: “Having been a fan of Sparkee’s past releases, the opportunity to collaborate was an easy yes! When I heard the instrumental I instantly knew it was the one and the song practically wrote itself. Super excited to give everyone one last banger before the summer ends.”
